Description
This is a single Simmons Aetec variable power rifle scope, model 2104, measuring 13.5 inches in length. This optic features a versatile magnification range from 3.8x to 12x with a 44mm objective lens designed for a wide-angle field of view. The main tube is constructed with a 1-inch diameter and finished in a non-reflective matte black. It is equipped with an adjustable objective (AO) ring on the bell to allow for parallax correction at various ranges. The internal optics utilize a clean duplex-style crosshair reticle. Key markings include the gold-toned plaque on the side of the turret housing marked AETEC and the underside of the housing which is marked MODEL 2104 and PHILIPPINES SC. Additional markings specify the magnification on the adjustment ring as 3.8-12X44, while the adjustable objective ring is marked SIMMONS along with distance increments of 50FT, 25YDS, 50, 75, and 100. This lot includes the scope only; it is missing mounting rings and lens covers.
Condition report:
The exterior matte black finish is in good used condition, showing scattered surface scuffs and light scratches throughout. Notable wear and finish thinning are present on the main tube where mounting rings were previously attached. The optics appear clear and bright with no major internal obstructions or visible damage to the lenses, and the duplex reticle is sharp. All mechanical adjustments, including the magnification ring, adjustable objective, and turret caps, appear to function correctly with smooth movement.
