Description
This American Derringer Corp. DA38 is a double-action over/under derringer chambered in .38 Special. The firearm features a 3.3 inch stainless steel barrel assembly with an integral front sight blade and a fixed rear notch sight. The frame and barrel assembly are constructed of stainless steel, and the handgun is fitted with polished wood laminate grips featuring a prominent grain pattern and a single grip screw. Visible markings on the left side of the barrel include .38 SP. CAL. and a stylized DAI logo followed by the number 133. The left side of the frame is stamped AMERICAN DERRINGER CORP. WACO, TEXAS along with the warning WARNING—ENGAGE SAFETY BEFORE LOADING and the serial number 009907 stamped vertically. This lot includes a black Sticky Holsters OR 1 pocket holster. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The stainless steel finish is in good overall condition, showing scattered light surface oxidation and fine speckling, which is most prominent on the backstrap and near the trigger guard. The bores appear bright with well-defined rifling. The double-action mechanism appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition. The wood laminate grips remain in excellent condition with only minor handling marks. The included Sticky Holster shows minimal signs of use.
