Description
This lot features a collection of 250 spent .30-06 Springfield match grade brass rifle shell casings. The assembly is comprised of 200 loose Frankford Arsenal casings and 50 casings organized on 5-round metal stripper clips, specifically intended for use with the M1903-A3 Springfield rifle. Each bottleneck-style casing is constructed of brass and features the headstamp FA 59 MATCH, identifying production at the Frankford Arsenal in 1959 for match-grade competition purposes. The casings exhibit evidence of being fired, including carbon residue at the necks and within the primer pockets. The stripper clips are of standard metal construction designed for rapid loading.
Condition report:
Fired. The brass shell casings show varying degrees of surface tarnish, oxidation, and carbon fouling consistent with use and age. The stripper clips exhibit minor surface wear and light oxidation.
