Description
This lot consists of 40 rounds of Remington Express Rifle centerfire ammunition in .45-70 Government caliber, contained in two original cardboard boxes of 20 rounds each. These cartridges are loaded with 300-grain semi-jacketed hollow point bullets intended for reliable expansion. The packaging identifies the load with the manufacturer catalog number R4570L and indicates the rounds are for use in all rifles. Verbatim markings on the boxes include Remington Express Rifle, 45-70 Government, 300 Gr Semi-Jktd Hollow Point, R4570L, and 20 Centerfire Rifle Cartridges. The brass cartridge cases feature headstamps clearly marked R – P and 45-70 GOVT. The cartridges are organized within black plastic inserts inside the signature green and yellow Remington cardboard boxes.
Condition report:
The brass cartridge cases and exposed lead hollow point tips show minor surface oxidation and tarnishing consistent with age and storage. The green and yellow cardboard boxes exhibit moderate shelf wear, including scuffing, edge wear, and small tears on the end flaps. The ammunition appears to be live and in good overall condition, though it has not been function tested.
