Description
The Savage Model 64 is a semi-automatic rimfire rifle chambered for .22 LR, configured for versatile target shooting and small game applications. The firearm features a blued barrel and receiver assembly set into a durable synthetic stock with a brush-style camouflage pattern and textured panels at the grip and forend. Aiming is facilitated by factory iron sights, consisting of a ramped front post with a high-visibility orange bead and an adjustable rear notch, alongside a mounted Tasco Pronghorn scope. The rifle is completed with a factory buttplate featuring the embossed Savage Indian head logo. Verbatim barrel markings include SAVAGE MODEL 64 CAL .22 L.R. ONLY followed by MFG. BY SAVAGE ARMS (CANADA) INC. LAKEFIELD, ONT. CANADA and IMPORTED BY SAVAGE ARMS, INC. WESTFIELD, MA. U.S.A. 01085. The serial number 1920165 is clearly stamped on the left side of the receiver. This lot includes two detachable box magazines, the original factory manual, and a black plastic hard case with embossed outdoor scenes. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish on the metal surfaces is generally well-preserved, though small spots of surface oxidation are present along the barrel, primarily near the front sight and midsection. The synthetic stock shows moderate handling wear including light scuffs and minor finish loss on high points of the camouflage pattern. The action appears to function correctly when cycled manually, and the Tasco scope optics are clear with an intact duplex reticle. The accompanying hard case and magazines show typical signs of use but remain fully functional.
