Description
This Savage Model 110L is a left-hand bolt action rifle chambered in .243 Winchester, configured with a blued steel barrel and receiver. The rifle features a checkered wood stock with a Monte Carlo comb and a pistol grip, and it is currently equipped with a front ramp sight and an adjustable folding rear leaf sight. It is fitted with two-piece scope mounts, although no optic is included, and comes with a black nylon sling and an elastic buttstock cartridge carrier. The original buttplate has been replaced with an H&R 1871 branded recoil pad. Key markings include the manufacturer and model designations SAVAGE ARMS CORPORATION CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS. U.S.A. and SAVAGE MODEL 110L roll-marked on the left side of the receiver. The serial number 19898 is stamped on the right side of the receiver. The barrel is marked PROOF TESTED CAL. .243 WIN. alongside a circular proof mark. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish shows moderate to heavy thinning throughout the barrel and receiver, with visible areas of light surface oxidation and minor pitting present on the barrel. The wood stock exhibits various field dings, scratches, and compressed checkering consistent with age and use. The H&R 1871 recoil pad is in poor condition, showing significant wear and deterioration around the edges. The action appears to cycle correctly, although the firearm has not been function-tested or live-fire tested. The bore was not inspected.
