Description
This is a single-shot break-action shotgun chambered in 16 gauge, designed for general sporting and hunting purposes. The firearm features a 28-inch barrel with an external hammer and a single brass bead front sight. The barrel retains a thinned blued finish with scattered surface spots and oxidation, while the receiver exhibits a mottled brownish patina with visible surface oxidation and handling wear. The furniture consists of a smooth wooden stock and forearm finished in a reddish-brown stain, displaying typical scratches, dings, and impressions consistent with its age. The stock is capped with a black, horizontally-ribbed hard rubber or plastic buttplate. Key markings include the trade name EASTERN ARMS COMPANY stamped on the left side of the receiver and the model designation -104A- on the right side. Barrel markings specify PROOF TESTED 16 GAUGE on the left and SELECTED FORGED STEEL on the right. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The shotgun is in fair to good condition overall. The barrel retains a thinned blued finish with scattered oxidation and surface spots. The receiver displays a heavy, mottled brownish patina with surface oxidation and moderate wear. The bore was not inspected. The action appears to function correctly, although the firearm has not been function-tested with live ammunition. The wooden stock and forearm show numerous scratches, dings, and impressions from field use but remain structurally sound. The buttplate shows wear and minor chipping along the edges.
