Description
This Ruger American Rimfire bolt action rifle is chambered in .22 LR and is designed as a versatile platform for target shooting or small game hunting. It features an 18-inch cold hammer-forged barrel with a factory bronze Cerakote finish, fitted with an aftermarket radial port muzzle brake marked .223 1/2 – 28. The receiver shares the bronze finish and is equipped with a Picatinny rail mounting a Hawke brand scope that has been custom finished in a textured tan and brown spatter camouflage; the reticle is marked Hawke and 22 LR Subsonic. The rifle is mounted in a synthetic stock featuring the GoWild I-M Brush camouflage pattern, including a modular stock system with an adjustable cheek piece and a rubber buttpad with a molded Ruger logo. Key markings include the serial number 836-75054, the Ruger phoenix logo, and RUGER AMERICAN on the left side of the receiver, while the barrel is stamped 22 LR near the breech. This rifle is offered for sale with no magazine. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in good overall used condition. The bronze Cerakote finish on the barrel and receiver remains mostly intact with some scattered light scratches and silvering at the high edges, particularly on the bolt handle and muzzle brake. The synthetic stock shows significant cosmetic wear on the adjustable cheek riser, where the camouflage film is peeling and flaking away from the polymer base. The bore is bright with crisp rifling and no evidence of pitting. The bolt operates smoothly, and the trigger mechanism functions normally. The Hawke optic has clear glass, although the custom exterior finish shows some wear and texturing variations. As noted, the magazine is missing.
