Description
This lot consists of a total of 139 rounds of .44 Remington Magnum ammunition. Included is a full 50-round box of Winchester 240-grain jacketed soft point cartridges, model Q4240, featuring headstamps marked W-W SUPER 44 REM MAG. Also included is a Surplus Ammo.com box labeled for 50 rounds of 240-grain lead semi-wadcutter Cowboy loads. The remaining 39 rounds are contained in a yellow plastic ammunition tray and feature mixed headstamps including MIDWAY 44 REM MAG, F C 44 REM MAG, REM-UMC 44 REM MAG, and W-W SUPER 44 REM MAG. This supplementary group includes a variety of projectiles including jacketed soft point and lead semi-wadcutter types. Verbatim markings on the packaging identify the contents as 44 REM. MAGNUM 240 GR. JACKETED SOFT POINT and 44 MAG 240GR LEAD SWC, COWBOY. The cartridges are housed in their respective factory and aftermarket packaging which shows various stages of shelf wear and handling.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in live condition. The brass cases show varying degrees of tarnishing and surface oxidation, with more pronounced tarnish noted on the mixed cartridges in the plastic tray. The lead projectiles exhibit typical white oxidation on the surfaces, while the jacketed projectiles show minor dulling of the copper finish. The cardboard boxes show signs of age with edge wear, creasing, and some light staining. The yellow plastic tray is intact and functional. We have not function-tested this ammunition.
