Description
This lot consists of 123 rounds of assorted ammunition and various brass components housed in four boxes and one plastic storage case. The collection includes a partial box of Winchester Supreme 7mm STW containing rounds with 160 grain Fail Safe bullets in nickel-plated cases headstamped WINCHESTER 7mm STW. A vintage red and yellow box of Savage 30-30 Winchester and Savage ammunition contains rounds with 170 grain expansion-controlled bullets in brass cases headstamped 30-30 S.A. CORP. A box labeled for Peters 45 Automatic Police Match contains rounds of 45 Auto ammunition with nickel-plated cases headstamped REM-UMC 45 AUTO and copper-jacketed bullets, which corresponds to a handwritten label indicating Remington Factory 230 grain rounds despite the box’s original wadcutter designation. Also included are rifle cartridges in a green plastic case with headstamps reading FA 57 MATCH. The lot is completed by 18 empty brass casings and fired hulls, many of which are contained within a Magtech box labeled for brass shotshells. We have not function-tested this ammunition.
Condition report:
The cardboard packaging exhibits moderate shelf wear including surface scuffing, minor tearing at the corners, and adhesive residue from old price tags. The cartridge cases show varying degrees of surface oxidation and handling marks consistent with age, though the nickel-plated cases remain largely bright. The 18 empty brass casings are fired and unprimed. The ammunition appears to be in generally stable condition, though as with all vintage ammunition, it is sold as-is and should be inspected by a qualified professional before any attempt at use.
