Description
This is a Sears Ranger Model 105-20 bolt-action shotgun chambered in 16 gauge, featuring an under-barrel tubular magazine. The firearm is constructed with a blued steel barrel and receiver mounted to a light hardwood stock. The barrel markings include a literal transcription of 16 GA — RANGER — 105 – 20 above SEARS, ROEBUCK AND COMPANY U.S.A. on the left side. The shotgun is equipped with a bead front sight, a turn-bolt action, and a brown ventilated rubber recoil pad. A notable structural repair is present at the wrist of the stock, where a crack has been stabilized with three metal pins. No serial number is visible in the provided images. Condition report:
The metal components show significant wear to the original bluing, with widespread surface oxidation, light pitting, and a mottled brown patina across the barrel and receiver. The hardwood stock shows various handling marks, dings, and a repaired crack at the wrist held by three pins. The rubber recoil pad shows age-related hardening and light wear.
