Description
This Colt Government Model semi-automatic pistol is chambered in .22 Long Rifle and presents in like new condition. The firearm features a 5 inch barrel and is constructed on a full-size 1911 frame manufactured under license by Carl Walther in Germany. The exterior surfaces are finished in a durable matte black, complemented by traditional black checkered synthetic grip panels. Sighting is provided by a fixed front blade and a drift-adjustable rear notch. Key markings on the left side of the slide include COLT’S GOVERNMENT MODEL CAL. .22 LONG RIFLE and the rampant colt logo, while the right side of the slide is marked COLT GOVERNMENT MODEL. The right side of the frame specifies US IMPORTER UMAREX USA FORT SMITH / AR and MADE BY CARL WALTHER GERMANY. Further markings on the right side include LIC. TM of NEW COLT HOLDING CORP. and the serial number LK001858. German nitro proof marks consisting of an eagle over N and the BB date code are visible on the right side of the slide and frame. The pistol is accompanied by one silver-toned 10-round magazine and a black and tan soft fabric case bearing a GW shield logo. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The pistol is in like new condition, displaying a nearly complete matte black finish with only minimal evidence of handling. The checkered black synthetic grips are excellent with sharp, undamaged texturing. The single-action mechanism appears to function correctly through manual cycling, and the bore is bright with strong rifling. The magazine and zippered soft case show no significant wear. We have not function-tested this firearm.
