Description
This lot features a Mossberg Maverick Model 88 pump-action shotgun chambered for 12-gauge shells. The firearm is equipped with a 20-inch cylinder bore barrel designed to accept 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells. The shotgun features a matte black finish on the receiver and barrel and has been upgraded with a black polymer Knoxx SpecOps adjustable telescoping stock featuring an integrated pistol grip and a buttplate marked KNOXX TM. The firearm is fitted with a standard black ribbed polymer pump-action forearm, a brass front bead sight, and a barrel-to-magazine tube clamp with a swivel stud for sling attachment. Key markings on the left side of the receiver include MODEL 88, ~ 12 GA. ~, and MAVERICK BY MOSSBERG, along with the serial number MV67813N. The barrel is marked CHAMBERED FOR 2 3/4 AND 3 IN. SHELLS — 12 GA. – 20 IN. CYLINDER BORE — and includes a warning message regarding safe operation and the manufacturer address in Eagle Pass, Texas. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The shotgun is in good overall condition. The black finish remains mostly intact with some light surface scratches and thinning on the barrel and magazine tube consistent with normal use. The bore is bright and clear of significant pitting. The pump action cycles smoothly and the trigger appears to function correctly, though the firearm has not been function-tested with live ammunition. The polymer stock and forearm show light scuffing and handling marks but are structurally sound.
