Description
This Winchester Model 94 lever-action rifle is chambered in the classic .30-30 Winchester cartridge and features a 20-inch round barrel with a full-length tubular magazine. The firearm is constructed with a blued steel finish on the barrel and receiver, paired with smooth walnut furniture including a straight-grip buttstock and a slim forend. Key markings include the model designation “MODEL 94-30-30 WIN-” and the serial number “2817749” stamped on the underside of the receiver forward of the lever. Barrel markings specify “-WINCHESTER- TRADE MARK- MADE IN U.S.A.” and “WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL”. Both the receiver and the barrel bear the circled “WP” Winchester proof mark. The rifle is equipped with a hooded ramp front sight and an adjustable rear elevator leaf sight. The buttstock is finished with a black checkered polymer buttplate held by two Phillips-head screws. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The original blued finish on the receiver shows significant wear and thinning, exhibiting a mottled brown patina and areas of surface oxidation, particularly on the left and right sides. The barrel and magazine tube retain a higher percentage of their finish, showing light scratches and minor muzzle wear. The wood stock and forend are in good condition, showing scattered dings, shallow impressions, and surface scratches consistent with field use, but remain free of cracks or significant losses. The bore is bright with well-defined rifling. The action appears to function correctly and cycles smoothly, though the firearm has not been live-fire tested.
