Description
This lot comprises a collection of .17 Remington caliber ammunition and components organized within three blue plastic hinged-lid storage cases. The group includes 101 live cartridges and 45 empty primed brass casings. The loaded ammunition is fitted with copper-jacketed hollow point bullets seated in brass cases. The primed brass casings are relatively clean and show minimal signs of age, while the loaded rounds exhibit a heavy dark patina and surface oxidation across the brass. Key markings transcribed from the headstamps on the primed brass include NOSLER 17 REM, identifying the manufacturer as Nosler. The interior lid of the case containing the primed brass is handwritten in blue marker with 17 Rem READY TO LOAD. The live cartridges are distributed between two cases, one containing fifty rounds in the tray with one additional round placed in front, and the other containing fifty rounds in the tray with one additional round resting on top. The empty primed brass is arranged in a nine-by-five grid within the third case.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in mixed condition, with the loaded cartridges showing significant surface oxidation and a dark, aged patina on the brass casings. The projectiles on the live rounds remain intact and appear secure. The empty primed brass casings are in bright, clean condition, and the primers appear unspent and free of corrosion. The three blue plastic storage cases are in good structural condition with functional hinges and latches, though one case contains handwritten identification markings on the interior lid. We have not function-tested the ammunition or primers.
