Description
This Marlin Model 60 is a semi-automatic rimfire rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle, featuring a 22-inch Micro-Groove barrel and a full-length tubular magazine under the barrel. The metal components consist of a blued steel barrel and magazine tube paired with a black finished alloy receiver. The rifle is mounted in a one-piece walnut-finished hardwood stock with a semi-pistol grip, featuring front and rear sling swivel studs and a black plastic checkered buttplate. It is equipped with a ramped front sight and a folding leaf rear sight, complemented by a receiver-mounted Bushnell Scopechief IV 4x optic featuring a post and crosshair reticle attached to the integral dovetail rail. Key markings include the manufacturer and model designation on the barrel, which reads THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. NORTH HAVEN, CT. U.S.A. MODEL 60 MICRO-GROOVE BARREL CAL. 22 L.R. ONLY, and the serial number 13443721 stamped on the left side of the receiver. The action appears to function correctly, though the firearm has not been live-fire tested. Condition report:
The barrel and magazine tube retain a majority of their original blued finish with some visible thinning, light handling marks, and minor scattered oxidation. The black finish on the alloy receiver shows light wear along the edges and around the ejection port. The hardwood stock is in good condition with various small dings, compressions, and scratches consistent with field use. The bore appears bright with well-defined rifling. The Bushnell optic shows some external finish wear and light scratches on the tube, though the lenses appear clear and the reticle is intact.
