Description
This lot consists of a total of 200 rounds of Norinco brand 7.62x39mm ammunition, organized into ten green cardboard boxes each containing 20 cartridges. These rounds were manufactured by the China North Industries Corporation and feature dark brown lacquered steel cases paired with copper-jacketed lead core spitzer bullets. Prominent markings on the individual cartridges include headstamps with the numbers 71 and 93, identifying production at Chinese Factory 71 during the year 1993. The box packaging is clearly marked with the manufacturer name, caliber designation, and the phrase Steel Case, along with the distinctive red and white Norinco star and gear logo. This ammunition is a well-known example of pre-ban commercial imports often sought by collectors of Chinese military-pattern rifles.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in excellent preserved condition with the original brown lacquer on the steel cases appearing smooth and free of corrosion or oxidation. The copper bullets remain bright and the primers show no signs of aging or moisture damage. The cardboard boxes show minor shelf wear consistent with their age, including light scuffs, minor edge fraying, and some dings to the corners, but they remain intact and all printed text remains clearly legible.
