This military-style flap holster is constructed from dark brown leather, identified as an original U.S. WWI M1909 Holster for Colt / S&W M1917 Revolvers. It features a pronounced embossed “U.S.” (United States) marking on its front. The top flap secures with a single brass stud, while the reverse displays three brass rivets for attachment, and a brass ring is visible at the bottom of the holster body.
Condition report:
The holster exhibits significant age and heavy use. Condition is characterized by extensive wear, scuffing, fading, and surface grime to the leather. There is notable creasing in the leather, particularly around the flap and body. The brass components display heavy patination consistent with age.
