Sold for: $120
Description
A WWII US Army olive drab canvas ammunition bandolier, designed to hold five-round clips of rifle cartridges. Stenciled markings on the pockets clearly state “CAL. 30 BALL M2”, “5 RD CLIPS”, and “TW- 40200”, indicating its purpose for .30-06 Ball M2 ammunition and suggesting a manufacturer or depot such as Twin Cities Ordnance Plant. Accompanying the carrier are 96 rounds of .30-06 caliber ammunition, featuring brass casings and copper-jacketed projectiles, loaded into black metal five-round stripper clips.
Condition report:
The items exhibit signs of age and use. The canvas bandolier shows minor wear, discoloration, and some fraying. The ammunition cases present with tarnish and oxidation consistent with military surplus condition.
