Description
A Yugoslavian Model 1924 Mauser-Pattern bolt-action rifle, chambered in 8mm. This military rifle features a full-length wooden stock and steel components. The receiver is marked “МОДЕЛ 1924” (Model 1924) and bears a royal crest, along with the serial number “237106”. The left side of the receiver is inscribed “КРАЉЕВИНА ЈУГОСЛАВИЈА” (Kingdom of Yugoslavia) and “ВОЈНОТЕХ. ЗАВОД – КРАГУЈЕВАЦ” (Military Technical Institute – Kragujevac), confirming its Yugoslavian origin and manufacturer. The bolt handle also carries the serial number “237106” and a small crest. The wooden buttstock bears a faint stamped number “20892” and a rectangular cartouche.
Condition report:
The rifle displays significant wear commensurate with age and use. The wooden stock exhibits numerous scratches, dents, and areas of finish loss. The metal components show considerable patination, bluing wear, and minor surface imperfections, particularly evident on the buttplate and high-contact areas. The serial numbers on the receiver and bolt are matching, while the buttstock number is different. Overall, the rifle is in good, used condition.
