Sold for: $300
Description
This lot comprises a military-style olive drab metal ammunition box, a matching olive drab fabric bandoleer, a group of metal clips, and associated brass-cased cartridges. The ammunition box is stenciled in yellow with the text “192 CAL .30 CARTRIDGES BALL M2 IN 8RD CLIPS BANDOLEERS LOT LC 42351”. The fabric bandoleer, designed with multiple pockets, also bears partial yellow stenciling, “CAL .30 BALL M2 8 RD CLIPS LC 42351”, and contains several empty metal clips alongside one clip loaded with eight cartridges. This configuration is consistent with .30-06 Springfield M2 Ball ammunition, typically used with the M1 Garand rifle.
Condition report:
The metal ammunition box shows surface wear, scratches, and minor areas of rust consistent with age and use. The fabric bandoleer is in good condition with some creasing and light soiling. The metal clips and brass-cased cartridges appear to be in good overall condition.
