A collection of approximately fifteen military and commemorative medals, accompanied by numerous associated service ribbons and ribbon bars. The items primarily date from the 20th century, with one item identified from the late 19th century. The medals are predominantly cast from bronze or brass, featuring colorful fabric ribbons, and are presented within original cardboard presentation boxes, plastic sleeves, or as loose components. Visible inscriptions on the medals include “NATIONAL DEFENSE,” “VIETNAM SERVICE,” “WORLD WAR II,” “KOREAN SERVICE,” “TEXAS SERVICE MEDAL NATIONAL GUARD,” “UNITED STATES NAVY,” and “CITY OF LONE 1887 MEDAL WITH 1891.” Some items retain “Vanguard” branded packaging.
Condition report:
Condition varies. Some medals and ribbons appear to be new-old-stock in original packaging. Other items exhibit light wear consistent with age and handling, expected patination to metal surfaces, and some deterioration to cardboard presentation boxes.
