Description
A 1951 Russian Izhevsk SKS semi-automatic rifle, chambered in 7.62x39mm. The rifle features a reddish-brown lacquered wood stock and handguard, blued steel metal components, and a bright steel folding spike bayonet at the muzzle. Key markings include “SKS 7.62×39 RUSSIA” and “CAL 57 ALBANY” on the barrel, “RV PB 332” on the receiver, and a star with an arrow motif (Izhevsk arsenal mark) accompanied by “1951г” (1951 year) stamped on the receiver cover and buttstock. The serial number “PB 332” is visible on several parts. The rifle is fitted with a green canvas sling.
Condition report:
Good condition. The wood stock and handguard exhibit expected wear including scratches, dings, and minor finish loss consistent with age and use. Blued steel components show some finish loss, particularly on high points and edges. The bright steel bayonet is largely clean with minor surface wear. No significant damage or heavy corrosion observed. The action appears to function correctly.
