Description
A Romanian AKM Bayonet with Scabbard. The bayonet features a single-edged, clip-point steel blade with a serrated sawback spine and a rectangular cutout designed for wire-cutting. Its hilt is composed of a dark reddish-brown molded polymer grip, a steel crossguard with an integrated muzzle ring, and a spring-loaded attachment mechanism at the pommel. The scabbard comprises a black metal body, a worn brown leather frog with a contrasting lighter tan leather belt loop, and a pale, discolored plastic or polymer insulator near the throat, indicative of its function in completing the wire-cutting mechanism with the blade.
Condition report:
Both the bayonet and scabbard exhibit significant signs of wear, including scratches and finish loss on the metal surfaces, and creasing, discoloration, and dryness on the leather components, consistent with extensive use. The items appear structurally intact.
