Description

A Colt M1911 United States Property .45 ACP semi-automatic pistol, crafted from steel with a worn parkerized or blued finish. The left side of the slide is marked “GOVERNMENT MODEL COLT AUTOMATIC CALIBER .45” and features a rampant Colt logo, with further text identifying “COLT’S MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.” The frame below the slide is clearly marked “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” and bears the serial number “NO 602176”, indicating production circa 1918. The visible portion of the barrel confirms the caliber as “COLT .45 AUTO”. The pistol is fitted with aftermarket black checkered rubber or polymer grip panels by Pachmayr, marked “Pachmayr PRESENTATION MODEL LOS ANGELES CA. U.S.A.” and featuring a circular medallion depicting a rampant horse. Accompanied by a single steel detachable box magazine displaying witness holes along its side and marked on its base with “19200”, “ASSY 5503694”, and “MFR. 8R611”.

Condition report:

Good condition. Significant finish wear, scratches, and abrasions are present across the metal surfaces of both the pistol and the magazine, consistent with extensive use. The original finish is largely worn, exposing bright metal in areas. The aftermarket Pachmayr grips show minor wear but are intact. Mechanical functionality has not been tested.
