Description
A collection of vintage rifle ammunition, comprising four cardboard boxes. The lot includes two sealed boxes, each bearing handwritten “8mm” notations in blue ink. A third box, dated December 1938, is marked in German “10 Stück 8 mm M. 30 scharfe S-Patronen” (10 pieces 8 mm M. 30 sharp S-cartridges) with a “P 635” manufacturer code and a bullet illustration, containing ten brass-cased cartridges with copper projectiles and two blued steel stripper clips. The fourth box is marked in Cyrillic “15 команда 7,9 ММ Метак са универзалним зрном М 49” (15 rounds 7,9 MM Bullet with universal bullet M 49) and “ΠΠУ5704” (PPU5704), and contains fifteen brass-cased cartridges. Close-up images reveal cartridge headstamps indicating dates such as “1957” and “50,” along with Cyrillic characters including “ПРУ” (PRU) and lacquered primers on some cartridges.
Condition report:
The cardboard boxes exhibit fair to good condition with expected age-related wear, including creasing, minor tears, and discoloration. The ammunition and stripper clips appear to be in good, preserved condition, showing some surface tarnishing on the brass casings consistent with age. Lacquered primers are visible on some cartridges.
