Description
A pair of vintage Swedish two-tone textile leg gaiters. Each gaiter is constructed with a lower section of bright red, likely synthetic material, and an upper section of tan, heavier canvas-type fabric. Both the top opening of the tan section and the junction with the red material feature elasticized gathering. The tan upper circumference and the bottom edge of the tan section are fitted with yellow and black braided drawcords, secured by black plastic toggles through metal grommets. Internal black strap systems and hook-and-loop closures are visible along the vertical seam of the tan section. An internal black label clearly displays ‘SWEDEN’ with an obscured ‘Ö-‘ prefix, indicating Swedish origin.
Condition report:
The gaiters exhibit a utilitarian style and show apparent use. Visible creasing and some surface soiling or discoloration are present, particularly on the tan fabric. The items appear to be structurally sound.
