The receiver bears the Turkish Republic (T.C.) crest featuring a star and crescent emblem, along with the text “AS.FA ANKARA” and the date “1935.” The left side of the receiver is marked “SER. TÜRKÜYE 1935” and serial number “9507.” The bolt handle is numbered “962,” indicating a mismatched component, which is common in military surplus firearms. The barrel features importer marks “C.A.I. GEORGIA VT.” and “GERMAN 1888 8MM,” confirming its chambering in 8mm Mauser (7.92x57mm). The rifle is primarily constructed of dark-finished steel components and a wooden stock.
Condition report:
Fair to good used condition. The wooden stock displays significant wear, numerous scratches, and dents. Metal components show a worn, dark patina with some pitting, consistent with a military-issued firearm of its period. The bolt is mismatched to the receiver.
