Description

A Soviet Mosin Nagant 91/30 PU Sniper Rifle, a bolt-action military rifle dating to the mid-20th century, specifically marked “1942” on the barrel shank, indicative of World War II era production. Constructed from blued steel and featuring a varnished wooden stock, the rifle is equipped with a side-mounted telescopic sight and a bent bolt handle, typical of a sniper configuration. Additional markings on the barrel shank include “5242D” and “SH 1542”, along with Cyrillic characters such as “Ж Ц 754”. The telescopic sight bears a hammer and sickle emblem, the designation “91/30”, and the serial number “№ 5-8856” (Number 5-8856), displaying a pointed post reticle when viewed through the lens. Accompanying the rifle are a canvas and leather sling, a canvas pouch with a leather closure, and a small separate leather accessory, likely a lens cover.

Condition report:

The overall condition reflects evident use and age, with wear, scratches, and dings present on the wooden stock. Some thinning of the blued finish is visible on metal components. The telescopic sight appears intact with a clear reticle.
