Description
A group of WWII U.S. Government Carlisle Model First Aid Packets and Ballistic Laser Eye Protection System (BLPS) components. The lot includes three olive-drab metal U.S. Government Carlisle Model first aid packets. Two of these packets were manufactured by “BAUER & BLACK” and one by “HANDY PAD SUPPLY CO.”. All three feature lids marked “WITH CRYSTALLINE SULFANILAMIDE”. Accompanying these is a partially open, light-colored cardboard box, originally containing “10 FIRST AID PACKETS U.S. GOV’T CARLISLE MODEL METAL COVERED” from “BAUER & BLACK”, noting “CAMOUFLAGED” and a partially obscured stock number. The lot also contains components for a Ballistic Laser Eye Protection System (BLPS), consisting of an olive-drab/tan plastic protective case, a black fabric strap with partially legible text including “KEMPER KL…”, a ‘BLPS INSTRUCTION BOOKLET’, and a separate packet of “MORRIS Rest-Rite NOSE PADS” described for “FOOT & EYE”.
Condition report:
Good condition. Visible signs of age and use, including minor surface wear, scuffs, and oxidation on the metal tins. The cardboard packaging shows creasing and wear.
