Description
A Swedish Military Remington Rolling Block Rifle, dated 1870. Each single-shot rifle features blued steel construction and polished hardwood stock and forend. The design incorporates an exposed hammer and a lever-operated breech. The receiver is prominently stamped “1870”. The barrel display “OG. GM.” text and a crowned “C” proof mark. Serial numbers “5819” appearing on multiple components circular cartouche featuring three horizontal dots is visible on the buttstock.
Condition report:
Good antique condition, consistent with age and use. Both rifles exhibit thinning bluing, minor surface oxidation, and handling marks on the wood. Mechanical actions appear to function as intended, though not tested.
