Description
A blued steel Carl Walther P1/P.38 9mm semi-automatic pistol, manufactured in February 1958, accompanied by two magazines and a black leather holster. The pistol features black checkered grips and is marked on the left slide with the “WALTHER” logo, “Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do.”, “P38 Cal.”, and “229”. The serial number “004229” is present on the frame. The right side of the slide displays “2/58” and “1005-12-120-C168”, alongside various proof marks. An importer’s mark “PW ARMS, REDMOND WA” is visible on the frame. The two steel magazines are marked “P38 Cal. 9mm”. The black leather holster is stamped “1597B” and “10 / 77” on its interior.
Condition report:
The pistol exhibits considerable bluing wear, scratching, and finish loss consistent with its age and use, though it appears mechanically complete. The magazines show similar wear. The black leather holster is worn but structurally intact.
