Lot 437:
A Group of World War II U.S. M15 Rifle Grenade Launcher Sight Documentation and Accessories
Sold for: $20
Description
This lot comprises a collection of original World War II-era U.S. military documentation and accessories intended for the M15 Rifle Grenade Launcher Sight. The group includes two “RESTRICTED” War Department Technical Bulletins, both dated March 1944. These documents, identified as TB 23-30-1 and a smaller instruction sheet, provide detailed information on the M15 sight’s mounting and adjustment procedures for M1, M1903, M1903A1, M1903A3 rifles, and M1 carbines. Accompanying the documentation is an olive drab canvas carrying pouch, internally stamped “CASE CARRYING 7160198.” The collection also features a heavily crinkled, worn, and discolored green fabric item, which appears to be another cover or component related to the M15 sight system.
Condition report:
The paper documents are yellowed, creased, and exhibit age-appropriate wear with minor tears. The olive drab canvas carrying pouch is in good, used condition with slight fading. The green fabric item is heavily crinkled, worn, and discolored.
