Sold for: $250
Description
A Soviet ZIK 1943 NR-40 Scout’s Knife, comprising a fixed-blade military-style knife with its accompanying scabbard. The knife features a broad metal blade with a subtle false edge, a simple S-shaped metal guard, and a dark-painted wooden handle. The ricasso of the blade is clearly marked “ЗИК 1943” (ZIK 1943), indicating manufacture by the Soviet Zlatoust Instrument Plant in 1943. The scabbard is constructed with a dark-painted metal body and an attached worn brown leather belt loop, secured by a single metal stud.
Condition report:
Well-used condition. The blade exhibits significant surface rust, pitting, and abrasions. The wooden handle and metal scabbard body show substantial paint loss. The leather belt loop is worn and discolored. Overall consistent with age and field use.
