Description
A US WWII M1916 Colt 1911 leather pistol holster. This light brown leather holster features an embossed “US” on the front flap. It is secured by a brass-colored closure button depicting crossed rifles, fastened by a dark metal stud. A braided leather lanyard is attached at the bottom. The interior flap is stamped “KEPPEL & SISSLY”, “0-304200”, and dated “18 APR 1944”, along with “1091712”. On the reverse, near the integral belt loops, it is stamped “U.S.”, “GRATON & KNIGHT CO.”, and dated “1943”.
Condition report:
The item exhibits moderate wear, scuffs, and some darkening consistent with its apparent age and use. It appears structurally sound.
