Description
A WWII Soviet Russian Tula Arsenal SVT-40 Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle, also known as the Tokarev SVT-40, dated 1940. Chambered in 7.62 X 54R, the rifle features a light-colored wooden stock with a ventilated handguard and blued and parkerized metal components. An attached period-style scope, marked with a Soviet hammer and sickle emblem, the year “1940,” and serial number “N B-00507,” is mounted on the receiver. The receiver itself bears a star symbol, the year “1940,” and additional markings “WH899.” The buttstock is stamped with “1389.” The ensemble includes a black fabric and leather sling, an additional black polymer/metal magazine, and a brown leather pouch with brass-colored studs and a snap closure.
Condition report:
Overall good apparent condition. The wooden stock displays cosmetic wear, including minor dents and scratches consistent with age and military use. Some finish wear is present on the blued and parkerized metal surfaces. The scope appears intact with clear optics.
