Description
A Springfield Model 511 Savage Arms 12 Gauge Side-by-Side Shotgun. This double-barreled shotgun features blued steel barrels and a case-hardened receiver displaying a mottled blue, purple, and brown coloration. The stock and forend are crafted from light-toned wood, completed with a black plastic or rubber buttplate. Markings on the left barrel read “PROOF TESTED 12 GAUGE 2 3/4 INCH CHAMBER.” The right side of the receiver is marked “SPRINGFIELD MODEL 511 SAVAGE ARMS WESTFIELD, MASS. U. S. A.,” and the left side shows the serial number “A777892.”
Condition report:
The wooden furniture exhibits significant finish wear, scratching, and dings, particularly on the buttstock. Metal components generally retain their blued and case-hardened finishes with minor scuffs and handling marks consistent with use.
