Description
This is a Harrington & Richardson (H&R) Sportsman Model 999 top-break double-action revolver. The firearm is chambered for the .22 Long Rifle (.22 LR) cartridge and features a nine-round cylinder capacity. The barrel is equipped with a ventilated rib along the top. Markings on the barrel rib include “SPORTSMAN” and “22 LR MODEL 999 MADE IN U.S.A.” The frame is marked “H&R INC. GARDNER. MASS U.S.A.” The revolver utilizes a top-break action for loading and unloading. The grips are high-gloss, checkered reddish wood panels featuring a brass-colored H&R medallion marked “1872.” The serial number AY122832 is clearly visible on the butt of the grip frame. The rear sight is adjustable.
Condition report:
The sizing dies are in used condition, exhibiting typical handling marks and wear consistent with use on a reloading press. There is visible light surface oxidation or staining, particularly on the heads and bodies of the metal components. The bright steel finish remains generally good. The red transparent polymer containers are intact with legible labels. We have not function-tested this reloading equipment.
