Lot 1166:
Soft-Sided Black Vinyl and Brown Faux Leather Long Gun Case
Sold for: $55
Description
A soft-sided long gun carrying case designed for a rifle or shotgun. The exterior is constructed of black vinyl or faux leather material, accented by contrasting brown faux leather trim, handles, and securing straps. The case utilizes brass-colored hardware and features a full-length zipper closure. The interior is lined with tan or yellow convoluted (egg-crate style) foam padding, providing protection for the contents. A small brass identification plate is affixed near the handles, engraved with the text ‘Jim LaBelle / C.F.C.A. 20 / MARINE, MS.’ No firearm or ammunition is included with this lot.
Condition report:
The set is in used, vintage condition. The three metal die components show moderate use, exhibiting clear threading and knurled textures, but also mild wear, surface tarnish, and minor scratching consistent with age and regular use as a tool. The original blue plastic storage case is heavily worn, featuring numerous deep scratches, scuffs, and significant dirt and staining, particularly visible on the lid and interior compartments.
