Gun Collectors Dream Auction #81 January 31st & Feb 1st
Lot 1288:
Sold for: $10
Description
This lot consists of one Lee Factory Crimp Die, manufactured by Lee Precision, Inc. The die is designed for the .22/250 cartridge, as confirmed by markings on the original storage case. The die is constructed of steel with a heavily threaded dark finish, featuring a bright steel locking ring and a knurled adjustment cap. The die is contained within its original translucent red polymer storage case. Markings on the case lid include the product name Lee Factory Crimp Die, the patent number 5,079,986, and the UPC 734307908188. The side panel confirms the caliber as 22/250. This accessory is used for reloading metallic cartridges, specifically applying a factory-style crimp to seated bullets.
Condition report:
The overall condition is fair to poor, reflecting extensive use and crude modifications. The stainless steel metalwork shows minor scratching and surface wear but retains its finish well. The action appears to function correctly when cycled by hand, but we have not function-tested this firearm. The synthetic Ram-Line stock exhibits heavy wear, significant visible dirt and dust accumulation, and substantial residue from the adhesive and tape used to secure the second magazine. The bore condition is not assessed. The B-Square scope mount and REDCORP optic are present but show cosmetic wear. It is the buyer\'s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
