Lot 1423:
A Lot of Vintage Western Super X and Federal .300 Savage Rifle Ammunition and Brass Cases
Sold for: $40
Description
A collection of vintage rifle ammunition and components chambered in .300 Savage. The lot includes four original factory boxes and 41 individual components. The packaging consists of three Western Super X boxes (two labeled Power-Point, one labeled Silvertip) and one red Federal box marked 20 CENTER FIRE RIFLE CARTRIDGES. The Western boxes are yellow and feature large, handwritten black numerals (e.g., 565 and 690), suggesting inventory or lot numbers. The lot contains 39 loaded rifle cartridges, primarily marked SUPER X 300 SAV on the headstamps, loaded into two 20-round factory cardboard trays. The lot also includes two loose, empty brass casings, which show evidence of heavy tarnish and oxidation. This group of ammunition and empty brass casings is suitable for collectors or reloaders seeking vintage components.
Measurements: Not applicable.
Condition report:
The pistol is in overall very good to excellent condition, showing minimal signs of use or handling wear on the polymer frame and slide finish. The black finish on the slide retains approximately 98% coverage. The bore appears bright with strong rifling. The action appears to function correctly when cycled manually. The lot includes the original factory box, which shows light shelf wear. We have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition. It is the buyer\'s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
