Lot 143:
A Large Bulk Lot of Spent Centerfire Metallic Cartridge Casings (Range Brass) including .38 Special
Sold for: $35
Description
This is a large bulk lot of spent centerfire metallic cartridge casings, commonly referred to as range brass, intended for reloading or scrap. The casings are constructed of brass. The lot exhibits mixed calibers, though the majority caliber cannot be determined without sorting. Representative headstamps observed include: ‘R P 38 SPL’ (Remington-Peters .38 Special) and ‘R A 6’ (Remington Arms, likely a date code or batch number). All casings are spent, inert, and contain no powder or projectile. These items are legally classified as components, not ammunition.
Condition: Condition is poor to fair overall, consistent with raw, unsorted range pickup brass. The casings exhibit heavy environmental exposure, dirt, tarnish, and oxidization, ranging in color from bright yellow to dark brown and green patina. All casings show evidence of firing (spent primers present). No live ammunition, firearms, magazines, or accessories are included in this lot. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws regarding the purchase and use of reloading components.
