Description
Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk Bisley Single-Action Revolver, Serial Number 87-13895. This single-action revolver is chambered in .44 Magnum caliber and features the desirable Bisley grip frame configuration, designed for enhanced control with powerful cartridges. The revolver exhibits a high-polish blued finish on the barrel, cylinder, and main frame. The cylinder is factory scroll-engraved with the Ruger banner logo and marked "BISLEY MODEL." The sighting system consists of a ramped front sight blade and a fully adjustable rear sight assembly. The revolver is fitted with two-piece highly figured wood grips incorporating silver Ruger medallions. The frame is marked RUGER .44 MAGNUM CAL. NEW MODEL SUPER BLACKHAWK?. The full serial number 87-13895 is visible on the underside of the frame. The barrel bears the standard Ruger warning inscription.Barrel length is approximately 7.5 inches.
Condition: The overall physical condition is fair to good, showing moderate wear consistent with regular use. The blued finish on the barrel and cylinder retains approximately 80-85% coverage, with some thinning and minor surface scratches visible, particularly near the muzzle and on the ejector rod housing. The hammer and the backstrap/grip frame, which appear to be bright metal, show heavy signs of age, including noticeable oxidation, pitting, and dark patina concentrated heavily on these surfaces. The wood grips are solid with attractive figuring but show minor handling marks and light scratches. The bore appears bright with strong rifling. The single-action mechanism appears to function correctly, indexing and locking up properly. We have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
