Gun Collectors Dream Auction #81 January 31st & Feb 1st
Lot 1484:
Sold for: $25
Description
Fixed-blade hunting knife manufactured by West-Cut of Boulder, Colorado. The knife features a Bowie/clip-point profile blade. The ricasso is clearly marked on one side: WEST-CUT / BOULDER, COLO. / MADE IN U.S.A. The reverse side of the ricasso is marked 645, likely indicating the model number. The handle is constructed of black, textured polymer or hard rubber slabs secured by two brass pins, fitted with a simple silver-toned metal crossguard. The knife is accompanied by its original brown leather sheath, which features brass hardware (snaps/studs) and a belt loop. This knife is consistent with vintage American hunting and utility knives.
Condition report:
The case is in used condition. The black polymer exterior shows surface dust, grime, and minor scuffs consistent with typical field use and storage. Several partially peeled identification stickers are adhered to the exterior surface. The structural integrity appears sound, and the PillarLock system latches function correctly. The interior is lined with black egg-crate style foam padding, which is present but shows compression and minor debris from previous use. No key or lock is included.
