The lot consists of two (2) complete Lee Precision, Inc. multi-cavity bullet casting mold assemblies, designed for the hand-loading enthusiast to cast lead projectiles. These items are classified as reloading tools and are not regulated firearms or ammunition.
The first assembly features an aluminum mold block marked TL 358-158, indicating a Tumble Lube design for a .358 diameter, 158-grain bullet, typically suited for .38 Special and .357 Magnum cartridges. This mold features a six-cavity configuration.
The second assembly features an aluminum mold block marked 309-174, indicating a pointed round nose design for a .309 diameter, 174-grain bullet, suitable for various .30 caliber rifle cartridges (e.g., .30-06, .308 Winchester). This mold also features a six-cavity configuration.
Both assemblies include the standard Lee pliers-style casting handles with light-colored wooden grips secured by bright metal ferrules, attached to the aluminum mold blocks and black steel sprue plates. Associated red and white retail packaging, marked LEE BULLET MOLD and Multi-Cavity Bullet Mold, is included.
Condition report:
The component bullets themselves appear to be in excellent, unused condition, retaining their original copper jackets and lead cores with no visible corrosion or damage. The original cardboard packaging exhibits significant cosmetic wear consistent with age, storage, and retail handling. Boxes show discoloration, tape residue, and numerous affixed price stickers and handwritten notations (e.g., $3.25, $9.10, $15.95, $23.75). The boxes are not sealed and have been opened for inspection.
