Description
A single Harrington & Richardson (H&R) Automatic Double Action Top-Break Revolver, featuring a five-shot fluted cylinder and an exposed hammer, configured for double action operation. The serial number is C 21935, marked on the underside of the barrel latch/lug assembly. The caliber is not explicitly marked but is typically .32 S&W for this frame size and configuration. The barrel rib is clearly marked: HARRINGTON & RICHARDSON ARMS COMPANY WORCESTER MASS U.S.A. PAT OCT.4 ’87 MAY 14 & AUG. 6 ’95. The presence of patent dates from 1887 and 1895, combined with the early design features, strongly suggests this firearm was manufactured prior to 1899 and may qualify as an Antique under US federal law. The revolver is fitted with two-piece polished reddish wood grips featuring circular inlaid medallions.
