Description

This lot consists of one Maverick Arms Model 88 pump-action shotgun, manufactured by Maverick Arms, a subsidiary of O.F. Mossberg & Sons. The shotgun is chambered for 12 Gauge, accepting both 2 3/4-inch and 3-inch shells, and features a six-shot capacity. The firearm is configured with a 24-inch smooth bore barrel designated as a Slugster model, equipped with adjustable rifle sights (fixed front blade, adjustable rear). The finish is a deep black blued/polished steel on the barrel and receiver, paired with black synthetic furniture, including a ribbed fore-end and a contoured buttstock fitted with a vented recoil pad. The firearm is presented in its original Mossberg-branded cardboard box with the matching label and serial number. Accompanying accessories include the owner’s manual, safety literature, and a yellow plastic caution clamp. Visible markings include MAVERICK ARMS EAGLE PASS, TX 12 GA. MODEL 88 on the receiver tang. The barrel is marked CHAMBERED FOR 2 3/4 IN. AND 3 IN. SHELLS 12 GA. – 24 IN. SLUGSTER. The full serial number is MV0597608.Barrel Length: 24 inches
Condition: The overall condition of the shotgun is excellent, suggesting minimal handling or possibly factory new stock. The black blued finish retains approximately 98% coverage, exhibiting only minor, superficial scuffs and light handling marks primarily visible on the receiver flats, consistent with being handled outside of the box. The synthetic furniture is excellent with no chips, cracks, or significant abrasions. The bore appears bright and clean. The pump action appears to function correctly, cycling smoothly and locking up securely. We have not test-fired this firearm and make no guarantees regarding its mechanical safety or functionality. The original box is in good condition, showing minor storage wear but retaining the original matching label. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
