Lot 395:
Savage Model 1907 Detachable Box Magazine for .32 Auto Pistol
Sold for: $120
Description
This is a single detachable box magazine identified through consensus and user keywords as being intended for the Savage Model 1907 or similar early Savage semi-automatic pistol chambered in .32 Auto (7.65mm Browning). The design is consistent with the 1907 Savage .32 Auto era. The magazine is constructed of stamped steel with a dark chemical or blued finish. The magazine body features witness slots for round counting; one side displays three elongated rectangular slots, and the opposite side shows one large central rectangular slot above a smaller lower slot. The feed lips are curved inward, typical of the design. The baseplate is dark finished and shows a central circular aperture, likely for disassembly or spring retention. No manufacturer markings, model numbers, or caliber designations are visible on the exterior.
Condition: The magazine retains an estimated 50-60% of its original dark blued or chemical finish. The finish shows extensive wear, scratching, and scuffing, particularly along the insertion points and high edges, consistent with heavy use and handling. There are traces of superficial surface rust visible near the edges of the baseplate and along the body seams. The feed lips appear intact. The functionality of the internal spring and follower mechanism has not been tested. This item is sold as a collectible accessory and not warranted for function or safety. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
