Lot 406:
A Lot of 125 Vintage Winchester and Winchester-Western Duck & Pheasant Load 12 Gauge Shotgun Shells
Sold for: $70
Description
The lot consists of 125 rounds of vintage factory-packaged ammunition contained within six original cardboard boxes from Winchester and Winchester-Western. The shells are 12 Gauge, 2 3/4-inch (70 mm) length. The loads include "Pheasant" and "Duck & Pheasant Load" varieties. Visible specifications on the packaging indicate 1 1/4 ounces of shot, with shot sizes No. 4 and No. 6. The shells visible in the opened boxes are red plastic with high brass-colored bases, consistent with vintage Winchester hunting loads. The shells themselves are marked 2 3/4 IN. / 70 mm. This ammunition is sold as a collector’s item only. We have not function-tested this ammunition. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
Condition: The overall condition of the lot is fair, primarily due to the packaging condition. The six cardboard boxes display heavy wear, discoloration, creases, tears, and abrasions consistent with long-term storage and age. Several boxes bear old price stickers and tape residue. The shells visible inside the opened boxes appear to be in good condition, showing minor surface dirt but no significant corrosion or damage to the plastic hulls or brass bases. The primers appear intact. The lot is sold as vintage collector ammunition.
