Description

A vintage manually operated shotshell reloading press identified as a Bair Machine Company product, often referred to by the trade name Honey Bair. This unit features a heavy cast metal frame finished in a hammered blue texture. The press utilizes a dual-hopper system with two large, cylindrical translucent amber/yellow plastic reservoirs topped with blue plastic caps, designed to hold shot and powder. Operation is via a pivoting black metal lever topped with a worn, ribbed white plastic handle. The mechanism incorporates multiple black reloading dies/stations installed below the primary housing and a central ram. A brass plaque affixed to the base reads "BAIR MACHINE CO. WARSAW, MO." A circular decal on the base features a bear graphic and reads "BAIR MACHINE CO." An integrated shotshell measuring gauge is visible in the base, marked with calibrations including 50, 70, and 90. Accessories include an attached blue plastic catch box suspended by a wire linkage and a large metal return spring.Measurements: None available.
Condition: The press is in fair to poor overall condition, showing heavy signs of prolonged use, staining, and age. The original hammered blue paint is heavily chipped, worn, and stained, with significant loss across the base and frame. The plastic hoppers are intact but show discoloration and residue consistent with use. The white plastic handle is worn and dirty. All major components appear present and the manual lever mechanism operates, providing tension via the large return spring. The dies and ram show surface wear and grime. We have not function-tested this press with live components. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal firearms laws.
